Recovery of Lithium from Battery Recycling Wastewater Using Electrodialysis
摘要
Bipolar-assisted electrodialysis (BPEDBipolar-assisted electrodialysis (BPED)) is a membrane-based separationSeparation technique widely used for treating wastewaterWastewater. One of its major advantages is the ability to produce three valuable products: a base, an acid, and desalinated water. This study explores the use of BPEDBipolar-assisted electrodialysis (BPED) to treat wastewaterWastewater generated during battery recyclingBattery recycling, which contains lithiumLithium and complex chemical compositions. The efficiency of lithiumLithium recovery is a key metric of the process. Various parameters, including the initial concentration of acid and base compartments, stack voltage, volume ratio, and processingProcessing time, were examined and optimized. The purity of the recovered lithiumLithium product, lithiumLithium hydroxide (LiOH), was evaluated to meet battery-grade standards.
