The Laplace transform is introduced, and the transforms of elementary functions are found. The properties of the Laplace transform are discussed, including transforming derivatives, integrals, and time-shifted functions. A number of examples are explored with emphasis on using the properties of the transform. Piecewise and periodic functions are transformed, properly treating the time-shifting theorem.
