Evaluation of Carrying Capacity for the Revitalization of Traditional Villages: Beishan Village in Zhuhai

The acceleration of urbanization has brought many challenges to traditional villagesTraditional villages, and the revitalization of traditional villages has become inevitable in this context. At present, there are several traditional villages in Zhuhai that have completed cultural and creative transformation, among which Beishan Village is an influential case, and the results of its transformation are widely discussed. Based on the AVCAttraction, Vitality, and Capacity (AVC) theory (attraction, vitalityAttraction, Vitality, and Capacity (AVC), and capacity), this study uses AHP analytic hierarchy process to evaluate the protection scope of Beishan Core Planning and Protection. Through field research and collation of the current situation data of local cultural elements such as landscape, folk customs, lifestyle, traditional skills, and population number, the classification and analysis of traditional spatial formsSpatial form, life forms, and ecological environment provide reference for the selection of evaluation indicators. At the same time, the case of Beishan cultural and creative transformation was analyzed, and the transformation method was summarized. Finally, the evaluation system of the three forces of local cultureLocal culture AVCAttraction, Vitality, and Capacity (AVC) was constructed, and the comprehensive weighted scores of the indicators were obtained by analytic hierarchy process as the evaluation basis, and the corresponding strategies were proposed for the indicators with low scores.
