African Religious Heritage and Experiences in Pentecostal Materiality
摘要
This chapter looks at the theology of materiality from an African religious experience as part of an aspect of African theology. The theology of materiality considers an African religious experience which in this context is a Pentecostal experience. This kind of experience is explored here using a Pentecostal hermeneutics of experience which helps us understand materiality in streams such as the new prophetic churches. This hermeneutics is based on the focus of the Pentecostal experiences rather than the spiritual dimensions. Therefore, it is expected that the experiences help the Pentecostals to have a better understanding of the scriptures rather than the scripture-informing experiences.
