The Practice of Materiality of Religion in New Prophetic Churches
摘要
This chapter studies the concept of materiality of religion in new prophetic churches as a sub-tradition of the Pentecostal movement. The chapter will explore how salvation in these churches is understood beyond the conversion to include the concepts of healing and deliverance. And how healing and deliverance include the use of anointed products such as anointed oil and anointed water. Furthermore, the chapter explores the relationship between the prophecy of diagnosis and the prophecy of prescription. This chapter aims to demonstrate that new prophetic churches are the epitome of the materiality of religion within the context of Pentecostalism.
