This chapter situates the book in relation to critical disability studies and some modes of critical criminology. It suggests, and hopes, that the book contributes to the emerging sub-field of “crip criminology.” From here, it addresses positionality and radical constructivism as a methodology. The chapter closes by outlining the structure of the book.
