The biological laboratory was part and parcel of my liminal practice as a territory where liminal lives existed and a space where many mattering operations occurred. I needed a guidance to construct my autoethnography recording the production of liminal projects in biological laboratories. New Materialist ideas prompted me to consider the entirety of material reality. Since laboratories were crucial for my research, I realized that I needed to study them as specific, peculiarly constructed segments of materiality. The terms ‘constructed’ and ‘created’ are essential in this context. For some reason, laboratories differ from the general production of culture, and they are distinctively framed. From my perspective, their operations are reminiscent of theatres with their abundant representations.

摘要
