Essay 10: The Latin American Forgotten Constitutional Precursor: Miranda’s Regional Integration Scheme as the Geographical Dimension of Democratic Governance

One could say that, from a global perspective, Latin American countries have underperformed in terms of economic and political regional integration in recent years. However, they belong to the region endowed with apparently the most favourable factors for sustaining their integration: common cultural, religious, linguistic, and structural features should facilitate shared objectives and policies.
