This chapter builds on previous speculation, exploring metaphysical equivalence and its role in metametaphysics, particularly regarding hyperintensionality. Metaphysical equivalence is defined as a relation between distinct theories, with later extensions to related phenomena. It is argued that since metaphysical theories aim to capture the full complexity of reality, modelling them requires tools beyond extensional and intensional analysis.

摘要

This chapter builds on previous speculation, exploring metaphysical equivalence and its role in metametaphysics, particularly regarding hyperintensionality. Metaphysical equivalence is defined as a relation between distinct theories, with later extensions to related phenomena. It is argued that since metaphysical theories aim to capture the full complexity of reality, modelling them requires tools beyond extensional and intensional analysis.
