Study on the Fluoride Ions Removal by Metal Salts Based on Experimental and Theoretical Calculations
摘要
Excessive fluoride ionsFluoride ions in metallurgical wastewaterWastewater adversely impact both environmental ecosystems and human health. The results of the chemical species and thermodynamic saturation indices of fluoride ions in the presence of aluminumAluminum, lanthanum, and magnesium ions indicate that lanthanum ions exhibit superior removal efficiency for fluoride ions. Batch removal experiments further demonstrate that lanthanum salts have stronger removal performances for fluoride ions compared to aluminumAluminum and magnesium ions. Under the conditions of pH 5.0, n(La3+): n(F−) of 1:3 and a reaction time of 10 min, lanthanum ions achieved a removal efficiency of 92.09% for fluoride ions. The process of removing fluoride ionsFluoride ions from lanthanum salts follows a pseudo-second order reaction model, indicating that this process is a chemical reaction whose reaction rate is influenced by the concentration of reactants in the solution. The results indicated that the lanthanum salts showed significant application in the treatment of low-concentration fluoridated metallurgical wastewaterWastewater.
