Digitalization is one of the most significant trends in the development of the global economy over the past decade. The development of information and communication technologies (ICT) is vital for countries with small domestic markets and high transportation costs, such as Armenia, because these technologies enable the provision of services over long distances at minimal costs. The research aims to contribute to analyzing the development of Armenia’s ICT services exports and identifies key growth drivers. The authors studied state policy of ICT sector support, considering its current state and impact. The competitiveness of ICT subsectors has been analyzed. Armenia holds a comparative advantage in the export of all types of high-tech services. However, the country’s competitive advantage in the telecommunications sector has been declining while the competitiveness of computer and information services continues to strengthen. The sector has expanded due to a high degree of geographical diversification, policy support, and, in recent years, the influx of Russian IT specialists.
