The research aims to analyze the ethical beliefs of students regarding the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the educational process. AI is rapidly transforming various fields, including language education. This qualitative research investigates the ethical issues that arise when integrating AI into the process of teaching English as a foreign language. The authors used a survey with a Likert scale, data analysis, semantic interpretation, and graphic representation of data to explore students’ perceptions of how AI determines the effectiveness of language learning. The analysis made it possible to identify key ethical dilemmas related to academic integrity, algorithm bias, data confidentiality, and the impact on developing critical thinking. The results obtained were used to formulate recommendations on the ethical and effective use of AI in language instruction. The survey results made it possible to assess students’ perceptions of the potential impact of AI on knowledge, skills, employment, and the need for the use of AI. The analysis of the questionnaire responses highlighted a prevalent view that AI can be ethically integrated into the learning experience. Various approaches were suggested to ensure the maintenance of ethics.
