An 18-year-old with a history of myelomeningocele now with severe thoracic kyphosis, s/p motor vehicle accident 6 months prior. Presents with worsening kyphosis. Uses a wheelchair, mostly with 0/5 distal function and 4/5 proximal function in the legs. Bowel and bladder have been stable. Type 3 spinal cord seen (Figs. 48.1 and 48.2).
