VigilantNet is an innovative project dedicated to addressing the emerging challenges of IoT usage and benefits, and security through the development of an automated penetration testing device. This project is motivated by the increasing complexity and widespread adoption of IoT devices that are being used to facilitate human lives and their integration with AI heavily. The scope of our study includes an extensive analysis of the background and implementation of IoT technologies, their associated attack vectors, and the efficacy of automated penetration testing as a security measure. Our methodology combines a comprehensive literature review with practical testing scenarios aimed at developing robust security solutions tailored for IoT systems to function properly without hindering. The outcome of this project is a profound understanding of IoT vulnerabilities and a set of actionable recommendations, articulated through detailed sections on system architecture and implementation methods. This comprehensive approach ensures enhanced security measures and frameworks for IoT environments to better have IoT devices that allow for a safe sustainable digital environment.
