As sustainability becomes a central focus in business strategies, Human Resource Management (HRM) is evolving to incorporate eco-friendly practices, leading to the advent of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM). As global environmental challenges increase, organizations are progressively implementing sustainable practices to reduce their ecological footprint for environmental responsibilities, regulatory compliance, competitive advantage, etc. HRM has advanced as a significant driver in this evolution by trying to integrate eco-friendly practices that align organizational goals with environmental sustainability. This paper explores the transformation of HRM from traditional functions to a sustainability-driven approach that integrates environmental consciousness into employee recruitment, employee training and development, employee performance management, and employee engagement. It studies the importance of Green HRM practices, including green recruitment, training, performance management, and employee engagement, while addressing the challenges and opportunities connected with their implementation in the modern organization. It also highlights the positive potential of Green HRM in achieving environmental and organizational objectives.
