The transformative power and dangers of atomic energy have long been known, and scientific advances bring both progress and risk. Fusion energy is seen as a promising, clean alternative to fossil fuels, but faces public scepticism due to its association with nuclear weapons and disasters in nuclear fission plants. Four main concerns about fusion are: Public trust, transparent communication, and addressing fears honestly are essential for fusion’s acceptance. While its future is uncertain, fusion could be a key part of a clean energy mix.
