This chapter examines how Industry 5.0, emphasising human—technology cooperation, can boost climate resilience and net-zero goals in South Asia. Through qualitative interviews with policymakers, industry leaders, and experts from Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and the Maldives, the study identifies enablers, obstacles, and strategies for adopting Industry 5.0. Four themes emerge: human-technology synergy in green innovation; policy coherence and institutional readiness; technological adaptation for circular, resilient production; and socio-cultural inclusive change. The study highlights collaborative governance, ethical artificial intelligence (AI), and capacity-building as vital for aligning tech innovation with climate aims. It also proposes a Human-Centred Climate Resilience Framework linking Industry 5.0 tools (digital twins, robotics, AI) with adaptive, regenerative industrial systems. Concluding with policy recommendations, it advocates leveraging Industry 5.0 for climate resilience, decarbonisation, and sustainable equity in South Asia.

摘要
