This chapter examines the traits of the “best rebels” within organizations, drawing on Francesca Gino’s framework of four rebel types—Traveler, Guardian, Climber, and Pirate. Each embodies distinct capacities for resisting external and internal pressures, fostering authenticity, perspective, renewal, or meaningful improvement. Extending Gino’s model, the text argues that the best rebels are not only nonconformist but also problem-solvers who remain task-focused and results-driven. A case study illustrates how constructive rebellion can drive innovation and organizational renewal, positioning these rebels as true HEROes: Highly Energetic, Responsible Operators.

摘要
