The Ugly (The Self-Destructive Rebel)
摘要
This chapter examines the phenomenon of the “ugly rebel,” characterized by self-destructive behavior that undermines both organizational systems and the individual. Through real-world examples—including politicians, activists, and professionals—this chapter highlights how noble intentions can devolve into personal harm, burnout, and isolation. A case study illustrates how hierarchical rigidity fosters frustration and sabotage, ultimately damaging both employees and leadership. The analysis underscores the importance of introspection, supportive leadership, and healthier dialogue. Ultimately, sustainable rebellion requires resilience, self-care, and constructive engagement rather than self-sabotage.
