In this chapter, different modalities of psychotherapeutic action will be reviewed, including distinct waves of behavioral therapy as well as psychoanalytic models. Several developmental theories will be revised, including (but not limited to) those of Mahler, Piaget, Ainsworth, Kohlberg, and Erikson. Sections on behavioral sciences and on psychological terms and studies are also included in the chapter.
