摘要

This chapter introduces the first international, long-term database of skill equity, harmonizing student achievement surveys to enable robust cross-country and temporal comparisons. By moving beyond averages, our multidimensional approach captures inequalities across socio-economic groups and performance thresholds. The findings reveal stark contrasts between regions and demonstrate that high performance and equity can indeed coexist, reshaping our understanding of both the efficiency and fairness of education systems worldwide.
