This paper presents a work flow for the time-domain numerical simulation of Integrated Squeeze Film Dampers (ISFDs), in which the equations of motion and the Reynolds equation are solved simultaneously. The study examines both the impact of elastic deformations of the ISFD ring and the effect of axial sealing of the lubricant film. Their influence on flow rate, minimal fluid film width and hydrodynamic forces are investigated.
