Comparative Analyses of Violin Back Plate Modal Responses between Tropical and Romanian Tone Woods
摘要
This paper presents a comparative and correlative analysis, mainly following the modal behavior responses, between two sets of violins back plates, considering some specifically investigative conditions. First sample set was made by some tropical wood species, and for the second set of samples was proposed a few Romanian typical tone wood species. Experimental investigations were conducted based on modal analysis method, using an extended single input – multiple output practical configurations. The analysis followed the modal behavior and spectral response of each sample in each set. Finally, the results obtained for the two sets of tone wood species were comparatively analyzed, underlining similitudes and differences between tropical and Romanian sets, with cross-correlations between samples of each set.
