The Protection and Inheritance of Cultural Heritage in the Digital Age: An AI-Driven Approach to Hakka Cultural Heritage
摘要
In the context of globalization and digital transformation, the protection and innovative inheritance of intangible cultural heritage face unprecedented opportunities and challenges. Hakka culture, as a treasure of Chinese civilization, embodies unique historical value and cultural wisdom. However, traditional preservation methods have struggled to adapt to the communication demands of the digital era, particularly in developing digital cultural products and engaging younger audiences. This research innovatively integrates multimodal generative AI technology with cultural heritage protection, establishing an “AI + Cultural Heritage + Digital Creative” framework. By constructing a multidimensional Hakka cultural database encompassing architectural compounds, embroidery crafts, bamboo weaving techniques, culinary traditions, and musical arts, we employ deep learning algorithms to extract essential cultural features, achieving intelligent reconstruction and creative expression of cultural symbols, subsequently transforming them into digital artworks, creative derivatives, and immersive digital experiences. The technical methodology encompasses: cultural element data acquisition and preprocessing based on computer vision; cultural feature extraction and style transfer utilizing Stable Diffusion and ControlNet; optimization of model comprehension of Hakka culture through LoRA fine-tuning techniques; development of an intelligent design transformation system for cultural creative products. The research employs quantitative metrics including CLIP Score and FID to evaluate generation effectiveness, while ensuring cultural accuracy through expert review. Research findings demonstrate that this AI-based heritage protection approach significantly enhances dissemination effectiveness and youth engagement while maintaining cultural authenticity. The developed digital creative products not only achieve modern translation of traditional culture but also establish a sustainable “Protection-Innovation-Productization” model for cultural heritage digitalization. The implementation encompasses: 1. Development of an AI-powered Hakka cultural art generation platform 2. Creation of an AI-based cultural creative product design system 3. Design of digital interactive experience products 4. Establishment of an intelligent customization system for cultural merchandise This study provides an innovative paradigm for the digital protection and creative development of cultural heritage, offering significant theoretical value and practical implications for promoting traditional culture in the digital age. The research outcomes are applicable not only to Hakka cultural heritage preservation and dissemination but also provide replicable experiences for the digital transformation of other traditional cultures.
