In the fast-paced logistics industry, effective package tracking is crucial for customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. This study focuses on developing a delivery application for Star Express Cargo, addressing the inefficiencies of outdated paper-based systems. By integrating QR codes and real-time tracking, the proposed system enhances inventory management, financial tracking, and delivery coordination through role-specific interfaces for administrators, service managers, accountants, drivers, and customers. Using the Modified Waterfall Model, the system was developed with technologies such as PHP (Laravel), Java (Android), and MySQL. Data was gathered from stakeholder interviews, highlighting the operational challenges and requirements. The system introduces features including real-time shipment tracking, a mobile app for drivers, and dashboards for various roles. User Acceptance Testing (UAT) showed grand means for each role as 4.32 for Admin, 4.76 for Service Manager, 4.92 for Accountant, 5.00 for Human Resource, 4.96 for Driver, and 4.89 for User. Despite its success, limitations such as restricted guest user features and the absence of a mobile app for general customers remain. Future work will focus on expanding functionality, including blockchain integration for enhanced security and traceability. This study demonstrates the potential of leveraging modern technology to revolutionize logistics operations, positioning Star Express Cargo as a leader in efficient and transparent cargo management.
