Mediating Role of Fintech Adoption Between Social Influence, Cost Value, Information, Perceived Safety, and Sustainable Performance of SMEs

Bank financing poses a barrier for small and medium enterprises. However, small and medium enterprises now have access to capital because of the adoption of fintech and the expansion of the sharing economy. Therefore, the goal of the current study is to examine the elements that contribute to small and medium enterprise’s adoption of fintech to attain sustainability. The framework has been designed and evaluated with the theoretical support of the UTAUT model over the small and medium enterprises that operate in Jordan. A total of 384 small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises provided the data. The adoption of fintech mediates the significant association between factors impacting fintech adoption and the sustainable performance of small and medium enterprises, according to data from structural equation modelling. The study determined the steps SMEs in developing nations should take to achieve sustainable performance with the aid of fintech adoption. Fintech adoption makes it easier for small and medium enterprises to obtain financial support, which is their biggest obstacle.
