Work Values, Organizational Commitment and Attitudes Towards Quiet-Quitting of the Multi-generational Workforce: A Preliminary Study with a Qualitative Approach to Employer Branding
摘要
The aim of the study is to shed light on how work values predict organizational commitment and quiet quitting for different generational cohorts. The qualitative study mainly aims to explore the contemporary work values of white-collar employees from X, Y and Z generations. The results will give insight to reinvent the employee value proposition to align with the near future of work. Both semi-structured in-depth interviews and focus groups with 39 employees and managers were conducted. Data was analyzed with both deductive and inductive methods and from both semantic and latent approaches. Results showed both inter and intra-generational differences and gave insight for the scale adaptation needs for further quantitative research.
