This study investigates the impacts of digital nomad visa policy on Philippine tourism growth through a qualitative approach employing a systematic review of literature and semi-structured interviews. In accordance with the PRISMA framework, 28 studies aligned with the research question were considered to identify significant themes in visa design, economic effects, infrastructure readiness, social integration, and regulatory matters. Twelve purposively selected participants, including tourism authorities, digital nomads, policymakers, and entrepreneurs, through interviews provided first-hand information regarding actual-world realities of implementing digital nomad policy. Outcomes indicated that even though visa reform brings tremendous opportunities for economy diversification and tourism resilience, challenges remain in terms of policy awareness, regulation enforcement, and integration into the host community in a sustainable way. This research contributes to emerging studies on nomadic tourism by presenting empirical findings from the context of a Southeast Asian developing country. Policy contributions emphasize the need for enhanced communication approaches, stronger regulative frameworks, proactive local engagement, and additional longitudinal studies to enhance knowledge on evolving effects of remote work migration at host destinations.

摘要
