In order to improve the parameters for implementing friction welding (FSW), a number of experimental experiments are conducted. This work focuses on the experimental method of friction stir welding. We employed three different tool shapes (square tool with flat shoulder, conical tool with flat shoulder and conical tool with concave shoulder).The weld bead is characterized by uniaxial tensile tests to identify the mechanical properties. SEM is then used to analyze the fracture patterns in order to identify the various welded joint zones in the configuration under study and ascertain how the welding setting affect the development of weld joint faults.
