Circular economy is the innovative economic model whose importance lies in its ability to mitigate environmental degradation, enhance resilience against resource scarcity, and lead to economic growth, creating the conditions for a more sustainable and prosperous future. The adoption of this model in the hospitality sector in Greece and more specific in the region of Attica is the subject of this research. The study aims to explore how hotel units can improve their operation in terms of sustainability through circular practices. Furthermore, it investigates whether these practices are feasible and effective. In terms of methodology, a qualitative analysis was conducted. Interviews from general managers of four- and five-stars hotels of Attica region were carried out. This research involved 11 managerial executives from hotel units, who were selected through convenience sampling. Findings highlight key aspects of the implementation of circular economy practices in the hotel sector in Greece, focusing on the potential benefits such as cost reduction, improved sustainability, operational resilience, and enhanced competitiveness, while also identifying the obstacles that hotels need to address.
