Psoriasis
摘要
Psoriasis is a chronic, inflammatory condition that can significantly impact quality of life and is associated with numerous comorbidities. In this chapter, we review the epidemiology, pathophysiology, clinical presentations, and management of psoriasis. Topical therapies approved for the treatment of plaque psoriasis include corticosteroids, calcineurin inhibitors, calcipotriene, retinoids, tapinarof cream, and roflumilast cream. Psoriasis can also be treated with phototherapy options, such as narrow band UVB, broad band UVB, and psoralen with UVA. Oral treatments for psoriasis include corticosteroids, methotrexate, cyclosporine, acitretin, apremilast, roflumilast, and deucravacitinib. Biologics are effective therapies for psoriasis, which are divided into TNF-alpha inhibitors, IL-17 inhibitors, IL-23 inhibitors, and an IL-12/IL-23 inhibitor. Additionally, an IL-36 inhibitor is approved for the treatment of generalized pustular psoriasis.
