This chapter presents the conclusion and recommendations of the study on the adoption of modularity methodology within the construction industry. The study set out to develop a conceptual adoption model by reviewing existing theories and frameworks, identifying critical attributes and sub-attributes, and validating these through expert interviews. The findings revealed that modularity methodology holds significant potential to enhance construction efficiency, sustainability, and adaptability. However, issues such as cultural perceptions, regulatory gaps, maintenance practices, and procurement strategies remain critical factors in enhancing adoption. The conclusion synthesises the key findings, demonstrating that successful implementation of modular construction requires a holistic framework that integrates technological readiness, stakeholder collaboration, regulatory alignment, and long-term maintenance strategies. Based on these insights, recommendations are proposed to guide policymakers, industry stakeholders, and practitioners in promoting modularity methodology. These include strengthening regulatory frameworks, fostering strategic partnerships, encouraging innovation through research and training, and creating incentives for sustainable practices. The chapter underscores the relevance of modularity methodology in addressing pressing construction industry challenges while providing a roadmap for its effective adoption. The recommendations serve as practical and strategic guidelines for accelerating modular construction in South Africa and beyond.
