Value Co-creation Case Study: The Smart Car Ecosystem
摘要
In this chapter, we present a case study of the emerging smart car ecosystem. While it promises safer, more efficient mobility, its current deployment is hindered by centralized data governance and fragmented infrastructure. We examine how Web3 technologies, particularly Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs), Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs), decentralized finance (DeFi), and decentralized applications (DApps), can address these challenges by shifting from a siloed corporate model to a decentralized, value co-creation framework. More importantly, using the conceptual AutoQDrive mobility platform, built on the pillars of Web3, we demonstrate three transformative use cases of value co-creation in the smart car ecosystem. First, asset digitization tokenizes underutilized resources (such as vehicles and infrastructure) into NFTs, which are managed via DeFi. As a result, resource utilization is optimized, creating an innovative revenue stream. Secondly, community-driven governance and tokenized incentives (QCoins) motivate users to share their mobility data, transforming it into a collective-value asset that supports more smart services, including intelligent traffic management, personalized navigation, and predictive maintenance. Thirdly, participatory decision-making fosters inclusivity by enabling stakeholders to collaboratively plan and design future critical infrastructure, such as smart parking facilities, in the smart car ecosystem.
