Sports Technology Applied to Athletics: Prototype for Time Measurement in Athletic Competitions
摘要
This research presents the design and development of a geolocation and timing system with LoRa technology for athletic competitions in open environments. The most significant advantage is that its components are compatible with IoT. This development focuses on obtaining the competitor's trajectory and recording the arrival and departure times according to specific points. To receive the required information, a Dragino LoRa IoT kit with a frequency of 915 MHz was used. The different parameters are configured in the gateway device, such as transmission power, bandwidth (BW), spreading factor (SF), and the different sensors as determined by this technology. With the implementation of this network, the contribution of this type of technological solution today will be made known. Following the considerations, it is proposed to use an architecture based on LoRa with Arduino and the main advantage is that it is cheaper than RFID.
