Analyzing the Stain Decay Coefficient in Virtual Reality Perimetry
摘要
The Humphrey Field Analyzer, HFA, is a hardware used in ophthalmology to assess the field of view of a patient’s sight in a monocular examination. From this tool, the ophthalmologists can detect the presence of vision defects. However, virtual reality (VR) is increasingly popular among health professionals for measuring the human visual field. This technology allows detection of the head position in 6 degrees of freedom. In addition, this paper brings a new point selection algorithm, the Progress 2D, P2D, which introduces a pseudo-random point selection. This paper also defines the stain decay coefficient, \(\beta \) , as a constant, generating a duration model, which may later be used to verify the system’s usability in a practical scenario.
