It is reinventing healthcare by combining virtual and augmented reality technologies in a new realm. Metaverse has added new dimensions to eHealth that simply provides virtual consultations to the patients who are bedridden or have morbidity. VR is now being suggested for therapy and rehabilitation, while medical scholars and professionals frequently use realistic virtual mannequins that do not require patient’s consent and digitally train instead of real patients. Digital twins, or virtual representations of patients, allow for precise diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical planning, thus enhancing both accuracy and outcomes. The metaverse has transformed many industries owing to its limitless potential and healthcare is no exception. Blockchain technology guarantees the safe storage and the uncomplicated retrieval of medical records, thus serving as a virtual locker. The metaverse is a platform that has transformed medical education into an interactive lively environment and thereby confidently preparing them for real situations. Research scope and the opportunities are enormous and these trends could help change the way we tackle health challenges not just to create a smarter way but a more relational and caring way. The metaverse could potentially be the route to a smarter and quicker health system around the globe. This paper discusses the way metaverse seeks to transform healthcare by fusing state-of-the-art technology with sustainable practices, ultimately enhancing treatment outcome and care.
