This chapter aims to equip physicians with practical tools and strategies to improve diagnosis, communication, and treatment of headache disorders (HDs). It outlines key diagnostic criteria for migraine, tension-type headaches (TTH), and cluster headaches. The chapter reviews prevalence, risk factors, and disparities for these conditions and presents three brief screening tools: Migraine ID, Headache Impact Test, and Migraine Disability Assessment. The non-pharmacological conceptualization section includes three messages which underscore mind-body connection, followed by non-pharmacological interventions: tracking and relaxation training. The Integrative Medicine (IM) section outlines effectiveness of biofeedback, acupuncture, manual therapy and dietary supplementation. A case vignette is used to illustrate presented concepts. The chapter concludes with Clinical Pearls, Frequently Asked Questions, and Resources.
