Design and Application of Contextually Immersive Interaction Space: Building a Psychosocial Experimental Field Using Multimodal Interaction-Taking “SCHWEIGESPIRALE The Spiral of Silence” as an Example
摘要
With the rapid development of information technology, multimodal means of interaction such as Extended Reality (XR) technology, computer technology and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) are reshaping the ways in which art is created and social science is studied. The aim of this essay is to explore how these advanced technologies can be used to construct a contextually immersive interactive space and to analyse its value and potential for application to artistic expression as well as to the study of mass communication and social behaviour. In particular, the innovative interdisciplinary interactive installation ‘SCHWEIGESPIRALE Spiral of Silence’ is selected as a case study to deeply analyse the contextually immersive interactive space constructed with the use of multimodal human-computer interaction technologies, and as a psychosocial experimental field, its interdisciplinary creation combining social psychology and technology is of innovative value for artistic exploration and social research.
