This paper reports preliminary findings regarding barriers to accessibility observed in small business websites. The authors conducted a systematic content analysis study of small business websites across multiple business categories to understand compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Preliminary results indicate that a significant majority of small business websites still lack robust accessibility. These findings underscore the need to increase awareness, advocacy, and training on the importance of web accessibility among small business owners and web developers .
