摘要
In the context of intensifying right-wing extremism, fascism, racism, and imperialism sweeping across nation-states, organizing modes of resistance is vital. It is important to consider these modes in context to avoid sweeping statements about progress towards diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and barriers against it, especially when the dominant knowledge derives from the United States. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are constructs, concepts, and practices, reproduced and reconfigured in different ways in different local contexts. Consequently, it is important to pay attention to the language surrounding DEI. When historical and geographical struggles are localized, international struggles and solidarities will prevent the erasure of social justice movements.
