“Okay, I Kill You”: Care and Artful Care
摘要
Care and care ethics have been explored across a broad spectrum of disciplines, considered in both theory and practice. Care is a foundational element of teaching artistry—infusing not only how a Teaching Artist shares knowledge, but also how they go about co-creating art. This chapter focuses on how care became a significant thread of meaning in the drama workshops. It explores ethical and aesthetic dimensions of care, including evidence of intercultural artful care, as participants from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds actively seek to understand and care for each other. This conception of care also implicates the Teaching Artist in the dynamics of artful care, with a particular focus on the moments in between drama strategies, where unplanned discussions and storytelling are crucial moments for meaningful and attentive facilitation.
