Patients with Apert syndrome may require surgery for associated exposure keratopathy, ptosis, downslanting of the eyelids, strabismus, and procedures performed by other specialists to control intracranial pressure. Details on lateral tarsorrhaphy, options for ptosis surgery, role for botulinum toxin, options for surgical repair of strabismus, and surgical technique for reducing the downslanting of the palpebral fissure by lateral canthopexy are provided.
