This chapter explains butt welding and fillet welding, which are the basis of welding, and then gives examples of welding design to achieve high productivity. In addition, detail design for welding is described in association with methods to prevent water leakage, scallops to prevent interference of welding lines, replacement of butt welding by fillet welding, and so on.
