An AI-driven simulation testbed is a flexible, structured environment designed to test, validate, and optimize intelligent system behavior within an instrumented, controlled environment. It integrates artificial intelligence with simulation technologies to create and explore real-world scenarios in simulations and enable rapid prototyping and analysis in support of decision-making and performance evaluation. This paper presents the overall concept and architecture of an AI-driven testbed along with exemplar use cases. AI-driven simulation testbeds are applicable in several industries, including autonomous vehicle development, cybersecurity, aerospace and defense, and smart cities. By leveraging machine learning, and advanced analytics, such testbeds can enable low-cost experimentation, and accelerated innovation. The combination of real-time simulation, big data, and AI-enhanced decision-making makes such testbeds a key resource for developing next-generation intelligent and autonomous systems.
