This paper aims to investigate how Agile Project Management relates to sustainability efforts in the banking industry. The exploration will be based on one of the largest banks in Indonesia. It offers insights into the underlying framework of the Three Pillar of Sustainability while firmly holding the importance of Sustainable Development Goals, specifically, Responsible Consumption and Production. This research was done through a qualitative method using thematic analysis. Individual in-depth interviews were conducted using semi-structured questioning. Data were then categorized into four themes through elemental and axial coding methods. Four main themes discovered were Agile Project Management, Social Pillar of Sustainability, Economic Pillar of Sustainability, and Environmental Pillar of Sustainability. It was found that, although Agile Project Management and Sustainability had indirect relationships with each other, they could still complement each other to achieve a better and more efficient result. Although traditional project management was still used for specific tasks and projects, utilizing Agile project management was known to be more effective. Last, this paper contributes to a better understanding of how Agile Project Management is applied in the process of carrying out sustainable initiatives. This study can be used as a foundation for future research that focuses on sustainable efforts and initiatives in the banking industry.
