The Orthrus Pedicular Dynamic Stabilization System
摘要
Stabilization of long-segment dynamic systems poses a problem because of the lack of optimal stabilization systems to maintain the flexibility of the long segment. A new system was designed after clinical applications showed that the rate of screw loosening is low in single-level dynamic systems. The screwheads were divided into two, and each half-head was used to stabilize a motion segment. This enables the stabilization of each level as a single level. Since it is a modular system, it allows for revision and the addition of new modules to the system. This system can be used in two stages in patients with osteoporosis.
