Scheduling in educational institutions has long been a significant logistical challenge. Traditional methods such as heuristic and metaheuristic approaches, as well as manual and semi-automated scheduling techniques, while useful, still do not offer an optimal solution. Most existing systems fail to generate schedules that fully optimize the use of available resources. The objective of this study is to integrate a linear programming model using Python programming language with an interface developed in VBA to support decision-making in scheduling at a business school. The model was applied to the scheduling of five master’s programs, each with six subjects per semester, at a business school in Catalonia for the first semester of the 2025–2026 academic year, which begins in September. The results obtained include an appropriate schedule for each of the master’s programs.

摘要
