Exploring Servitisation: A Comprehensive Review and Roadmap for Organisational Transformation

This paper aims to provide a comprehensive framework for understanding servitisation by identifying and elucidating crucial dimensions and their evolution, integrating them into a practical roadmap. The contribution starts with a literature search cycle, identifying the main concepts, selecting library resources and reviewing and refining the results. The systematic literature review has analyzed 50 articles and reveals pivotal dimensions distinguishing pure product, hybrid and pure service organisations, providing a roadmap to guide their servitisation journeys while also identifying the critical stages involved. Organisations, policymakers and academics can use the framework and roadmap to assess positions, plan transitions and enhance servitisation strategies for improved competitiveness and customer value.
