Driven by biogenetic and information technology, techno-posthumanism treats human and nonhuman lives and biospheres as sources for the extraction of biovalue, accumulation, and profit. This chapter examines critiques of techno-posthumanism in works by Chen Qiufan, Wang Jinkang, and Liu Cixin. Thriving in the context of neoliberalism and technofeudalism, techno-posthumanism not only restores the arrogant anthropocentric subject of traditional Eurocentric humanism but is also leading toward an unholy alliance of money and power under the sign of capitalist oligarchy. The ceaseless growth of capital and private enclosure of common resources widens the abyss of inequality, destroys communities and people, and damages the natural environment, leading humanity and Earth down the path of destruction.

摘要
