It is a contingent result of conflicting political actions, and its originality is difficult to appreciate even for the politicians who have contributed to the formation of the Union itself. The EU also poses major challenges for sets a major challenge to political theorists, who as we can read from Claudia Wiesner’s review in Redescriptions [17:2, 2014], have to date hardly contributed to the understanding of it.
